What HeatSafe does not collect

• No name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
• No account registration or login of any kind
• No cookies for tracking or advertising
• No analytics that identify you (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no third-party trackers)
• No location data is sent to any HeatSafe server — your browser uses your location locally to query weather data, and that's it

What HeatSafe does

When you visit HeatSafe, your browser does two things:

• Loads the website's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files from Vercel (the hosting provider)
• Sends your search location (city name or coordinates) directly to Open-Meteo, the weather data service, to fetch current temperature and humidity

Both happen entirely between your browser and these services. HeatSafe operates no backend server of its own — there is no database, no user account system, and nothing to breach.

Third-party services

Open-Meteo — Provides the weather data HeatSafe uses. Open-Meteo's privacy policy is available at open-meteo.com. Your browser sends them only the location you searched, in order to receive weather data in return.

Vercel — Hosts the HeatSafe website. Vercel may log standard server access information (IP address, browser type, referring page) for operational reasons. HeatSafe does not access these logs and does not link them to any user identity. Vercel's privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Children

HeatSafe is suitable for all ages. Because no personal data is collected from anyone, there are no special data-handling requirements for children. Anyone, regardless of age, can use HeatSafe with the same privacy guarantees.

Changes to this policy

If HeatSafe ever begins collecting any user data — for example, if a future feature requires saving preferences locally — this page will be updated and the change will be announced clearly on the site. The current commitment is no data collection of any kind.
